Originally built in 1857 for the Duke of Bedford, The Old Coach House was recently sympathetically renovated. Much of its charm and character has been retained by preserving many old timber beams and the granite open fire in the dining room.

Hidden amongst rolling farmland on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Ottery but only 2 miles from historic Tavistock, birthplace of Sir Francis Drake.

The hotel is convenient for day trips to any part of Devon and Cornwall All rooms have en suite bathrooms or shower rooms, colour tv, telephone, radio, clock/alarm and tea and coffee making facilities. Adjoining the hotel are The Linhay with bedrooms available on a room only basis although breakfast can be booked at the hotel, and a two bedroom self-catering cottage - The Tallet.
