The guest house is central to the south of England on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border and almost midway between London and Cornwall. The house was built in 1937 by a well known brick and flint builder who incorporated the craft of "flint napping" pictures built into the walls of the house. Today it is centrally heated and double glazed with colour tv, tea and coffee facilities and hair dryers in all rooms.
