Inn At Lathones
By Largoward, St Andrews, Fife, KY9 1JE.
| A local legend has it that, in this part of Fife, lived a disfigured midget highwayman known as "Wee Mad MacGregor." After a successful "outing", he liked to enjoy himself at a small inn in the village Lathones. True or not, visit the Inn at Lathones today and you will meet another interesting character in the form of owner Nick White who bought and renovated the hostelry in the late 1990s. At the heart of the inn is the restaurant which boasts creative menus using Scottish seafood, lamb and local game. The comfortable bedrooms are all simple yet tastefully furnished and accommodating on the pocket. Two single rooms, 10 double/twin rooms and two master rooms are available at this establishment which is the perfect touring base for St Andrews with its famous golf course and the fishing villages along the Forth coast.
